Numerous industrial sponsors, large and small, now rely upon CROs to undertake much of their early stage R&D. The panel will discuss how the divergent CRO sector can work with Academia, Technology Transfer Offices and early stage companies in order to strengthen drug discovery programmes and hence secure grant, investment, collaboration or partnering deals.

This lively debate will set the scene for ON Helix, where we will discuss other ways to reduce the innovation gaps and shorten time to market for new drug and healthcare technologies.

Summer BioNewsRound Award

Submit your newsworthy announcement or press release now for the Summer BioNewsRound Award

The BioNewsRound Awards were created as a platform to showcase success stories in the Life Science sector and to build confidence among investors, policy makers, entrepreneurs and innovators alike.

It is one thing to be doing great things, but without communicating those success stories in an engaging and motivational way, the extent to which it engages others in the sector can be limited. To this end, the BioNewsRound Awards recognise achievements by judging not only the achievement itself, but the manner in which the story was disseminated.

There are no long entry forms and judging panel processes, simply submit a copy of the announcement or press release that describes your achievement and how that achievement met the following criteria:

  • Significance to the company
  • Significance for the life science sector
  • Significance to patients

Entrants are requested to submit an announcement or piece of PR publicised within the past 12 months. Ten finalists will be announced having been selected by our judging panel and will be called for before the event to present their newsworthy announcement or press release at the ON Helix Welcome Reception on 12 July 2017.

Each presentation will last 4 minutes.  After all finalists have been heard by the audience, the audience will be asked to cast their votes via a ballot system. The votes will be counted and the award will then be presented to the winner.
